A new ride. A new feeling.
The rider‘s weight continuously presses down the bow, building pressure with each edge change. This pressure is released, increasing the additional pop of the bow and allowing the board to release from the snow even faster. Pressure is shifted 10 to 20 cm simultaneously toward the nose and tail via the toe or heel edge, creating a much better, yet softer edge grip. This allows the DOUBLEDECK® snowboard to offer the world‘s first pressure shift of up to 20 cm toward the nose and tail, transforming it into a carving machine.
The bow is mounted to the board with four sliding screws at the rear and four locking screws at the front. It needs to slide to allow for a certain amount of deflection, allowing the concave bow to push through convexly in the opposite direction. This way, the bow glides minimally and imperceptibly back and forth on the board with each turn. As the rider transitions from one turn to the next, the weight is released from the bow and glides back „as if on rails.“
Since the edges grip exceptionally well thanks to the interplay of the CPS® and SRS®, the board can also enjoy intentionally more torsion along the longitudinal axis. While more torsion means a more forgiving ride, it also usually reduces edge grip. Not so with the DOUBLEDECK® snowboard! This is thanks to the INVERSE CONCAVE BENDING SYSTEM® (ICS). The convexly hollowed wood core enables the board‘s strong torsion with a twisting effect of up to 45 degrees. This means it is thinner in the middle and thicker towards the sides. This twists it along the longitudinal axis (torsion), allowing for easier turn initiation and a smoother ride.
